Anthem is at this point the most hated game in video game media. Are they for the right reasons? I don’t think so, but that’s beside the point. The team at Bioware is listening to all of the concerns fans (and haters) have about Anthem. One of the most frustrating issues currently is the loot system once you get to level 30. It pretty much becomes a grind to farm for masterwork and legendary weapons, abilities, and components. I can’t tell you how sick you feel when you have a completely epic or masterwork Javelin, and you find either a common (white) or uncommon (green) item during your runs. Ben Irving posted on Reddit what they plan on changing with the loot system today.
One major change comes from those who are already level 30. Common and uncommon items will NO LONGER appear in level 30 drop tables. This is great news for anyone who will never use any of those low tier items again. Another issue comes from inscriptions that are either not useful or not relevant to the item they’re attached to. Now inscriptions will be better for the items they are on. There’s still a lot to change with this game to keep it viable, but this is a huge step in the right direction for Anthem.
