While Apex Legends hit it out the park during the first month of its release, it has lost some steam as Season 1 of the Battle Pass did not meet expectations. Still EA and Respawn Entertainment are nowhere near done with the Battle Royale game as news appeared today that EA has been in talks to bring Apex to China and mobile.
Besides the cross-play functionality (still haven’t heard updates on that feature yet), going to mobile is the next natural step. Even though the player base in the states aren’t high for rival BR games like Fortnite and PubG, overseas mobile gaming is all the rage. If EA can successfully get their game to China as well, that will significantly increase the player base.
We also received news of a sneak peak on Season 2 of the battle pass which reportedly will be revealed at this year’s E3. Stay tuned on more news as we approach E3 2019 next month.
