Nowadays there are so many ways to get your fill of TV shows (whether live or an original series). Youtube has thrown their towel into the mix with Youtube TV. The problem was they were limited on what platforms you could utilize the service on. You could only view Youtube TV on your phone or PC. Now Youtube TV will be available on your smart TV if it has Android TV as its OS. Soon other devices like the Xbox One, Apple TV, and Roku will also get the app.
I’m still waiting on whatever service can get all of the local channels for your area (so far for me personally PS Vue is the closest). In any case, Youtube TV could also be a viable option if you want to completely ditch the cord. I would probably wait just a little longer if you don’t have a Smart TV with Android and want to try Youtube TV.
