If it wasn’t bad enough that E3 attendance was down; they also had to cancel this year’s event because of the RONA. This has left an empty void for a major gaming event. Geoff Keighly (the creator/host the video game awards) saw a lane wide open and hopped in it. Yesterday he announced what he’s calling the Summer Game Fest. It will take place between May & August 2020. According to their official website they’re

“Bringing the world together to celebrate video games from the comfort of home. Summer Game Fest is a season of digital video game events from publishers, select playable content, in-game events, and more to be announced.”

According to our plug these companies such as 2K, Activision Publishing, Bandai Namco Entertainment, Bethesda, Blizzard Entertainment, Bungie, CD Projekt Red, Digital Extremes, Electronic Arts, Microsoft and more have already signed on to show off content.
