Just in time for the summer, Riot Games is gearing up for the League of Legends 2020 Mid-Season cup. This time there will be a showdown between the LPL (LoL Pro League) and the LCK (LoL Champions Korea). The event is replacing the MSI 2020 and will feature the top four teams from both leagues live on the League of Legends eSports channel.
For the LPL, the teams representing them are JD Gaming, Top Esports, FunPlus Phoenix, and Invictus Gaming. The LCK lineup includes Gen. G, Dragons, T1, and DAMWON Gaming. According to SBD, the LCK Spring Split Champions T1 has the best odds to win it all.
The Mid-Season Cup will have a $600,000 prize pool and will be held online due to COVID-19 regulations. The LCK teams will be in LoL Park and the LPL will be in Shanghai LPL Arena, both of which will have no live audiences. The Cup will start on Thursday, May 28th. Will you be tuning in?
