The team over at Hi-Rez (creators of Smite) look like they’re ready to get into other genres besides MOBAS. Similar to what Riot Games is preparing to do, Hi-Rez is jumping into the Shooter arena in collaboration with First Watch Games. A new game is on the horizon called Rogue Company, a third-person, team-based shooter.
Lead game designer Scott Lussier feels that “Gamers should be able to play with their friends, regardless of platform. Rogue Company is all about bringing together a huge community of gunslingers and giving them a depth of gameplay to show off their individual style.”
In the gameplay trailer below, we can see vigilante force swooping in on a building, and attempting to take it over. Another team is seen trying to defend from the attackers. The game looks like it has a good variety of guns, specialties, and gadgets to keep the game fun, but tactical. The game is planned to release sometime this summer, and will release on all platforms. An alpha is currently available if you want to apply.

@UTxJGTheDon It’s a decent game so far, think csgo mixed with abilities and perks
@UTxJGTheDon They already have Paladins. Wouldn’t be there first time making a shooter
Hi-Rez can make new games but can’t optimize paladins and fix game breaking glitches that’s been in there for years? True true.
