The Resident Evil 2 remake made waves last year and Capcom is looking to cash in with the announcement of the RE3 Remake. Just understand this is a remake not a remaster meaning certain elements of the original game have been changed for the modern era. Something similar to the last Ratchet & Clank. Our plug is claiming some interesting things about this remake.

They claim this remake will no longer contain multiple ending like the original Resident Evil 3. That’s interesting to me because that completely changes the canon material. Hopefully, that doesn’t lead to any retcons and confusion amongst the community. They also claim that RE3’s Mercenaries Mode will not be returning in the remake. I personally never played Resident 3, but our informant claims this could be a deal-breaker for many fans of the OG title. Reason being

“In the 1999 version of┬áResident Evil 3, players could unlock The Mercenaries: Operation Mad Jackal which featured three playable characters in a race against time to survive a crosstown journey through Raccoon City.”

The RE3 remake drops April 3rd, 2020 for PS4, PC and Xbox One.
