While the THQ we once knew is long gone, THQ Nordic is prospering after Nordic Games acquired THQ back in 2013. Now today we find out that THQ Nordic has acquired yet another publisher, Koch Media. Koch Media is the parent company of Deep Silver, which currently holds the franchises to Dead Island, Saints Row, and Metro. The deal was done for $149 million.
What does this mean for those main franchises? Hopefully more assets and resources to make Metro Exodus one of the best games there is. Maybe we can see a serious revive to Homefront, and Saints Row can go back to the glory days.
Other games on the horizon are Biomutant and Darksiders 3. I’m looking forward to what all of these franchises under the THQ Nordic banner come out to be.
