Facebook announced today that it’s adding an interesting feature to it’s social media platform.  Starting today, anyone and everyone can live stream video games from their PC desktop or laptop computers to their personal page.

A new “Live Video” option will appear on the top of everyone’s news feed that’ll give them the option to do so. Now on Facebook, you can stream directly to Groups, Events, Pages, etc. Users will also get the power to share screens and even insert custom graphics to their stream.

Facebook went on to specifically call out gaming and that this feature makes it “easier than ever to stream your PC gaming to friends and followers.”

This puts Facebook in direct competition with streaming giant Twitch.

So do you all think this is an interesting move by Facebook? Do you think it might have the potential to actually compete with Twitch? Let us know in the comments.
