Conor McGregor has had an interesting 2 years. He was one of the first UFC fighters to own two belts simultaneously in two different weight classes, and he took on one of the greatest pound for pound boxers in history Floyd Mayweather. Now EA is putting him on the cover for UFC 3.
McGregor also appeared on the UFC 2 cover alongside Ronda Rousey, who is no longer fighting in the UFC. Now Conor is on the cover solo with two belts. Dana White has already stripped him of the lightweight belt at 145 because of McGregor’s absence from the UFC, so I find this strange that the cover has him holding both across his shoulders. In any case, McGregor is unfortunately still the face of the UFC, so it’s a no-brainer why he’s back on the cover this year.
Here’s a brand new gameplay trailer of UFC 3. The game will drop on Xbox One and PS4 on February 2nd. You can also get into the beta by registering here.
