If I lose the majority of my gaming memories today, one that I will be certain to not forget is the Streets of Rage series. The Beat ’em up genre was very popular in the early 90s, and no one did it better than Sega with Streets of Rage. It’s been 14 years since Streets of Rage 3 released, and today we are finally getting the 4th iteration thanks to publishers Dotemu and developers Lizardcube.
The new title features hands-on visuals that are very similar to Wonder Boy: The Dragon’s Trap. Streets of Rage 4 will have the iconic characters Axel and Blaze, new gameplay mechanics, and a new story. You will be able to play alone or with a friend (doesn’t look like more than 2-player co-op).
Currently, there is no release date or consoles revealed, but this will be at the upcoming Pax West event this weekend if you want to get your hands on it. We will keep you guys up to date on any more developments.
