A new report from Heroic Hollywood claims that Zack Snyder’s son Eli will play Robin in a flashback in next year’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Zack Snyder is the director of the film and previously directed Man of Steel. This scoop comes from Umberto Gonzalez, who oftentimes is a credible source. He says that this is a “hot rumor” that is hard to confirm.
In the movie universe that Warner Bros. is creating, Robin has already been killed, presumably by the Joker’s hands, as implied by the image below taken from the recent Batman v Superman trailer. Eli Snyder is rumored to appear as Robin in a flashback when he is killed by Jared Leto’s Joker.
You may not know it, but you’ve probably seen the younger Snyder in his dad’s films before. Eli Snyder appeared as a soldier in Sucker Punch, as young Rorschach in Watchman, and as young Leonidas in 300. He is currently committed to play quarterback at the University of California, Los Angeles this fall. Gonzalez describes Snyder as “quite the athlete. He is 6’0″ and weighs 174 pounds. As the starting quarterback, Eli put up good stats at Maranatha High Varsity Football. Watching Eli’s senior highlight reel, he certainly has the youth, athleticism, and physicality to be Robin in real life!”
Austin is in his final year at the University of Florida studying English. He enjoys binge watching on Shark Tank, winning the Mortal Kombat, and occasionally stepping in for Batman when necessary.
