After a week long conference in San Francisco, Xbox throws a party for the game developers who attended the GDC during the week. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss new games developers wanted to create for Microsoft. Nothing out of the ordinary right? Well, apparently Go-Go dancers were invited to the event and made a few people very uncomfortable. So uncomfortable that they decided to vent on social to talk about their experience. Phil Spencer released a statement to his staff members via email after the event.
“This matter is being handled internally, but let me be very clear – how we represent ourselves as individuals, who we hire and partner with and how we engage with others is a direct reflection of our brand and what we stand for. When we do the opposite and create an environment that alienates or offends any group, we justly deserve the criticism.”
Will Microsoft come out with a W at all this year? Will the Xbots find a way to say that the Xbox One is a better console than PS4? And will I ever stop hearing “Tank Top” Jokes? Find out next time on DBZ.
