In I’m slightly late, but I’ve been busy all day news. One of the highlights of Microsoft’s E3 conference was the announcement of backwards compatibility. Phil Spencer claimed that over 100 360 titles would come to the Xbox One natively
The only catch to this deal is that ultimately a game being backwards compatible is up to the developer. If they don’t want their 360 titles played on Xbox One, then that’s that. They have to give Microsoft the green light.
All this is cool, but lets be real here. Why now? Does this not prove they’ve been lying to us all along? Isn’t this the same company who claimed they couldn’t do backwards compatibility due to technical limitations?
Funny how low sales can change a companies tone huh? Stand by for patch!
