Finally! After making fans wait a year, Fox has announced that the Rogue Cut of X-Men: Days of Future Past will be releasing on July 14, the fifteen year anniversary of the original X-Men film (cue thoughts of “Oh my god I’m old!” from everyone reading this).

For those of you unaware, Anna Paquin’s Rogue was originally supposed to have a slightly meaningful role in the film, amounting to seventeen minutes being added to it. This is effectively an “extended edition” of the film and comes months after Fox released the standard edition of Days of Future Past, tempting X-Men fans whose will wasn’t strong enough to wait for the extended cut.
