Disney is preparing to take over the streaming world, but not everyone thought this would be a good thing. Disney proved me wrong after they announced details on the Disney + streaming service. The standard features that programs like Netflix currently have are there: multiple profiles, algorithms that give you user-specific content, watch lists, parental controls.
At launch, you will be able to stream the majority of the Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Lucasfilm, and National Geographic TV catalog. There will be original shows from the same studios as well including new Star Wars and Marvel content. Movies will be available as SOON as their theatrical release is done. Still, the most important thing that was speculated is, “How much will it cost”?
Disney + will launch on November 12th, 2019 for $6.99 a month. You could also pay for an entire year for $69.99. I didn’t think this service would do much to sway me, but Disney was very aggressive in their press conference and has a LOT of people excited.
