We all know what the hottest game out right now is, and that’s Fortnite by publisher Epic Games. As a game becomes viral, so do the hackers who are looking to make a quick buck off of unsuspecting gamers.
News has arisen from several Fortnite gamers claiming that their accounts have been charged without their knowledge. One gamer in particular named Tyler says a hacker charged $149.99 and $14.99 for the Save The World PvE mode. He says he has never purchased that game mode and has not even tried it out. He did eventually get a refund, but again he’s not the only one who has had such mysterious charges.
Other charges are for V-Bucks which allow you to buy things like the Battle Pass, skins, and emotes. If you play Fortnite frequently, double check any accounts you may have tied to Epic to make sure your account hasn’t been compromised. If you notice any suspicious charges, contact Epic support ASAP.
