The Fullmetal Alchemist live-action movie is coming to IMAX and is a month away for its public release. After analyzing a few reviews of the movie’s premiere that happened on October 25th it’s safe to say the movie doesn’t feature Scar. Scar is one of the shows earliest antagonist and remains relevant throughout the entire series. On a path of revenge and destruction, Scar made you question the morals of the alleged good guys. It’s being reported that other supporting characters were removed and the movie is set up in a way where it tells about the first 10 episodes of Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood all while seeming like a complete movie. So it may or may not leave room for Scar in possible sequels but it’s very disappointing such an important character is completely erased from the movie. I’m sure casting would have been hard to find a black acting male who spoke Japanese but not impossible. Maybe they didn’t want to include him now because they didn’t want to waste screen time on a character whose story is far from seeming whole with only 2 hours of screen time. Whatever the reason it’s still a shame.
