Bad news for those who thought their $60 preorder for the Division would get them the entire game. That might not be the case. The Division is the latest AAA game to have preplanned DLC ahead of the base games launch. In light of rumors about microtransactions, the creative director gave this statement to our source

“It’s definitely just the one – the DLC,” said Jansen. “I don’t know if there’s a globally agreed definition of the word microtransactions, but you don’t pay to win or advance or anything like that. We have DLC plans – which we’re not talking about now – and obviously you’ll pay for that, but in addition to that there’s no microtransactions, as I define them.”

I’m not going to hold my breath when it comes to Ubisoft. That was a pretty cryptic answer they gave, so I’m just going to assume this game has microtransactions like all of Ubisoft’s other games. Let’s just hope they’re all cosmetics. Also don’t forget to check out the new Division gameplay. Click here!
