Valve has a running joke that’s been going on for years on whether they will ever make a 3rd game to any of their franchises (Portal, Half-Life, Left 4 Dead, etc). Valve technically hasn’t created a game since 2016, and this was a VR game called The Lab. Besides that, the last main game they produced was Dota 2, and once again that’s only the second installment. So what’s the next game might you ask?
Welcome Bridge Constructor Portal which looks like it’s set in the Portal universe. A trailer was just revealed showing a truck trying to get to its destination, but the bridge collapsed and the truck fell off. The objective of the game is to get a truck from one side of the screen to the other using portals. From the screenshots, it’s not going to be a first-person game, but instead a side-scrolling puzzle game.
I’m not a puzzle fan, but I did thoroughly enjoy Portal 1 and 2. I was slightly excited about this one until I found out it was side-scrolling. In any case, it’s coming out on December 20th to PC and mobile. Console versions will arrive sometime early 2018. Check out the trailer below and let me know what you think.
