Battle Royale is the hottest genre in gaming. It’s bringing in the big buck and that’s why everyone is trying to get a piece of the pie. PUBG is killing it and Epic Games slam dunked two years of work on Paragon to go all in on Fortnite. But let’s be real here; the competition is coming and when the dust settles it’s hard to tell who will be left standing.

I know of 3 different battle royale games that are supposed to launch in 2018 and I just found a fourth with a new gimmick. The name of this game is Mavericks: Proving Grounds. What they’re doing to stand out in their offering is increasing the player count from 100 to 400! They also claim they’ll be doing this while providing higher quality visuals!

Streamers and Youtubers are fickle. When the betas begin for this game trust they’ll jump ship from Fortnite and PUBG. The only question is will they remain? You’re going to have to do more than increase the player count and visuals to impress this competitive market. Something tells me they do have some tricks up their sleeve. Lord knows we need someone to shake up the formula!
