People who play The Witcher series tend to love The Witcher. People who love The Witcher tend to crave more Witcher content. So here I am sharing some news I found that might excite The Witcher fanbase. A new spin-off title based off The Witcher 3 is coming to PC. The game is called Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales and will appear on the GOG platform exclusively. Launch date is October 23rd. According to our snitch

“The new game focuses on Meve, a queen who holds dominion over Lyria and Rivia. With a Nilfgaardian invasion immiment, she’s forced to go to war. Thronebreaker is described as a narrative-driven game with puzzles and card battle mechanics, similar to Gwent. In fact, Thronebreaker was originally announced as the single-player component for Gwent, before having spun off into its own standalone game. It will launch alongside Gwent itself coming out of beta.”

Not my cup of tea, but I’m sure some of you out there will give this one a try. Just sucks that it’s exclusive to GOG. Having all these game clients on your PC is annoying. Bring that thang to Steam! If a gameplay trailer drops in the future we’ll be sure to share it with you guys.
