Marvel’s Spider-Man just came out this month on September 7th and is now PlayStation’s fastest selling exclusive yet. It was reported by USA Today that the first three days of its release it sold 3.3 million copies which would be around $198 million. This is only counting the standard edition for the game not including bundles, DLC or other types of merchandise that may have come with the deluxe editions.
This is really good news for both the fans and company that made the game, Insomniac Games. If you played the game you will recognize that Insomniac Games did an amazing job on creating this game with care. It will be easily nominated for Game of the Year for how fast it is selling and for how postive the review has been. If you wanted a sequel to this game this news might help encourage the studio to do so because it even outsold Spider-Man: Homecoming which made $117 million on its opening weekend.
I think all G.I. members have beat the game and most of us even beat it with 100% even Siggy who only plays Battle Royal games. Marvel’s Spider-Man has had a massive success even before The City That Never Sleeps DLC is in the game which comes out next month on October 23rd which we reported about a couple weeks ago. I can’t wait to see what Insomniac Games does with the next game if they continue where they left off at the end of Marvel’s Spider-Man. If you thinking about picking the game up check out our group review here. If you played the game what are your thoughts about the game so far? Marvel’s Spider-Man is out now only on PlayStation 4.
