Live streaming has become the wave over the past couple years thanks to YouTube no longer giving a damn. The hottest trend in streaming is right now is streaming IRL or “In Real Life.”
If you’re subscribed to one of the many Twitch Fails channels on YouTube, then I’m sure you’ve seen this new format. Streamer walks around living their life with a selfie cam on them the entire time. Usually wild shit happens which is entertainment for the chat.
For the longest, you had to have expensive equipment to do these types of streams, but popular third-party Twitch service Streamlabs may have just solved that problem. Their new app allows you to stream to Twitch or YouTube all while having your donations and layouts on screens. So basically all you need is a phone and selfie stick at this point. According to the app page
“Stream live from your iPhone to your favorite streaming service (Twitch & Youtube) and use your favorite Streamlabs overlays! All widgets are supported. Reward your viewers for following, subscribing and tipping you on your mobile stream they way you do on desktop streams. Everything you need to go live on your stream is included in the app such as editing stream info, chat from viewers, viewer count, bitrate, recent events, and more.”
