Today Bethesda revealed that Fallout 76 won’t be playable on Steam. Instead, they’ve opted to distribute their game via their own client on Bethesda.net. A Bethesda rep released this following statement. “The PC version of Fallout 76, for both the B.E.T.A. and the launch, will be available only via Bethesda.net, not on Steam.”
In more positive news our plug claims that the Fallout 76 FAQ page claims that the upcoming Fallout 76 beta will be the full the game and all progress will carry over to the retail release. “Our current plan for the B.E.T.A. is it will be the full game and all your progress is saved for launch” it says on the FAQ page. So I wonder how many of you are going to try and finish the game before the beta is over? Is it even possible? Doesn’t matter because broke boys and girls across the globe will try any lol.
Just sucks I got to download one more client just for one game. Now I have to deal with Steam, Origin, Uplay, GOG, BattleNet, Bethesda and there are more out there! I just pray this game isn’t as buggy as previous Bethesda games. Forcing people to their client is already annoying. Imagine they don’t even clean up their games? Does this news affect you? Will it keep you from purchasing their games.
