I’m sitting here watching the live stream reveal for the Star Wars Battlefront reboot & we learned a bunch of stuff today. One being that showing game play wasn’t a priority. I felt like I just wasted a half hour of my life.
All we got is a new CG trailer, the release date being November 17th and few more details. Those details being that players will receive some free DLC titled Battle Of Jakku that bridges the gap from the old to the new star wars films. Yes we’re talking about DLC before the game even drops.
Our sources also tell us “Battlefront will be a first-person and third-person shooter — players can switch between the two points of view freely — with a focus on online multiplayer in up to 40-player battles. No traditional single player will be present, but offline missions inspired my moments in the films can be tackled solo or cooperatively, either online or split-screen. They’ll offer high replay value with various difficulty levels.”
All this news is cool, but all of that news leaked before the conference even started, so we learned nothing new and didn’t get any game play. I’m left with a sour taste in my mouth after this one. You can still check out the trailer if you like though.
