Ever since it was shown off at E3 back in June, eager fans have been subject to no news or gameplay of The Last Guardian. Sony had strong conferences at the Tokyo Game Show in September and the Paris Games Week last month, but neither appearance included any new gameplay videos or plot details of The Last Guardian.
Sony president Shuhei Yoshida spoke to Gamespot in a new interview and explained that the company is purposefully keeping information on The Last Guardian hidden away from the public: “Development is going well, but because it’s about the story, we don’t want to show too much. We wanted to show that it exists, it works, it runs. It’s not like we won’t show anything before launch, but I think we will try to limit what we show about the game.”
The Last Guardian, originally intended to release as a PS3 game some years back, is expected to launch for the PlayStation 4 sometime next year. You can check out the E3 gameplay video by clicking here.
