For those of you who care about the more technical side of gaming; you might want to know some key details coming out of that Destiny 2 reveal event that I missed.

Destiny 2 will run at 4K on the PS4 Pro, but the framerate will be capped off at 30fps. I wish the interviewer would have asked if there would be an option for 1080p 60FPS on PS4.

When asked why the game would be capped at 4K 30fps, the Bungie developer bluntly stated that the PS4 Pro just couldn’t handle it.

When asked about Dedicated servers, Bungie simply said no. They asked why and Bungie’s developers looked like deer in headlights.

It made for some comedic relief. On a more serious note, I don’t think the game being capped at 30fps on PS4 is a big deal. I think it is a shame that Destiny 2 will be running off peer to peer servers. Expect lag!

I’m also curious to see what they offer when it comes to the Xbox Scorpio version. They said they had nothing to show today, but I’m willing to bet it’s because Microsoft asked Bungie to wait until E3 2017.
