For those of you still interested in becoming a butt pirate on PC; know that a new developer diary just dropped for Sea Of Thieves.
In the diary, they revealed that an alpha test is coming this Saturday, May 20th. The alpha test will allow you to test our a variety of game mechanics and provide feedback to Rare.
They also revealed that they’ll be bringing the game to Microsoft HQ in Seattle to test the game on a hundred different PCs. That bit of info is important because it says to me they’re taking optimization seriously. They’ll have that data + the data provided by the thousand of people who have access to the alpha.
They’re currently hard at work on the video settings for the PC version. The alpha is designed to test out their auto detect settings for optimization purposes.
The Xbox One & PC version will have the same content. Rare’s also working 4K + cross-platform play for the community.
A bunch of other PC technical jargon was discussed, so if you’re interested then check out the video below. If you want to sign up for future possible tests then be sure to check out the Sea Of Thieves website.
