Update: First trailer just dropped

EA has announced that Oklahoma City Thunder point guard Russell Westbrook will be the cover athlete for their upcoming basketball game NBA Live 16.

Anthony Stevenson, EA’s Sports VP of Marketing, had this to say: “NBA Live 16 is all about self-expression, and who better embodies that than Westbrook, both on and off the court? Russell plays every game like he has something to prove. Our team is building NBA Live the exact same way, so we’re thrilled to have him as an ambassador for our game.”

And here is the box art:

This comes after Stephen Curry, Anthony Davis, and James Harden will each be getting an NBA 2K16 cover and Westbrook’s teammate Kevin Durant was featured on NBA 2K15s cover last year.
