Over the summer, there were rumors that Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine might appear in the upcoming X-Men: Apocalypse. Supposedly, a leather goods designer created a duffel backpack for Hugh Jackman and mentioned that he was in Montreal to film for Apocalypse. Yeah, a rumor was started because a business owner made a bag for an actor. Us internet journalists want your clicks, okay?
Since then, 20th Century Fox has not confirmed nor denied the rumor and fans have been speculating if Wolverine will be in the eighth entry to the X-Men film franchise. Just recently, a new rumor surfaced that indicates yes, Jackman’s Wolverine will be appearing in Apocalypse. Le Journal de Montréal (via Comicbook.com) reports that X-Men: Apocalypse will be doing reshoots in Montreal during next January. The report says that “it seems that Hugh Jackman will be on hand” for these reshoots. Seeing as how his role in the film is yet to be confirmed, this report should be taken at face value. The studio behind the film has yet to comment on Jackman’s possible involvement with the film.
If you speak French, have a crack at reading the original report here.
Wolverine could have a big part in the film (he’s kind of been Fox’s crutch for the X-Men films) or Jackman could just be showing up to film a cameo similar to X-Men: First Class, if he’s headed to Montreal at all.
