Word on these E-streets is Ubisoft is cooking up some new content for their beloved Splinter Cell & Assassin’s Creed franchises. Thing is this RUMOR claims they won’t be your typical triple-A titles from Ubisoft. Reports claim Facebook recently signed a deal for exclusive rights to VR versions of Ubisoft games.

This same report also claims Facebook is looking to sign more exclusive deals with other studios/publishers as well as purchase some studios as well. The reason behind this? Facebook wants to bring more popular titles to their Oculus Rift platform to help boost sells. It’s no secret that the hype for VR gaming has died down. Nothing has been confirmed, so take this all with a grain of salt. Ubisoft refused to respond on this rumor, but Oculus did give a statement.

β€œThe response to Oculus Quest and Rift S gaming has been incredible. We cannot comment on specific partnerships, but we will continue to focus on expanding our library and reaching broader gaming audiences for years to come.”
