Some new information regarding the PlayStation Neo has come to light. Andrew House, president and group CEO of Sony Interactive Entertainment, has confirmed to the Financial Times that PlayStation 4 Neo is indeed in development. No release date or price will be announced yet and it was also stated Neo will not be showcased at E3. Andrew did say it will indeed be more expensive than the current $350 PS4 model.

The more shocking news shared however is the plan. Andrew stated it’s for hardcore gamers and those with 4K TVs here is his quote on PS4 Neo “is intended to sit alongside and complement the standard PS4. We will be selling both PlayStations through the life cycle.

Huh? Sit alongside? Why would you want to pay more for another console to sit alongside the old version?

When Andrew House was asked about two different hardware variants He stated “All games will support the standard PS4 and we anticipate all or a very large majority of games will also support the high-end PS4.”

So maybe that is what he means by sit alongside. The Neo might not have all the games made for it? All this already sounds like a major L. Let me know what you guys think.
