Another day of Pokemon GO related news this time coming from the Big Easy. Everyone knows by now Pokemon GO has most parks as Pokestop and it has recently caused people to actually visit sites that have long been forgotten. What can only be assumed as a group of people decided to leave their mark by placing a fiberglass statue of Pikachu at Parkerson Place in the city’s Lower Garden district.
A photo of the statue was first posted on Reddit and has amassed more than 2 million views.
No word on how long the statue will stay there. It was placed on a defunct fountain at some point over the weekend illegally. The statue has no doubt brought even more people to the park however. The hashtag #PokeMonument could also be found etched into the cement at the base of the statue.
Gamer..Drinker..Youtube video maker..I’m that guy that everyone knows.
