Activision is up to their money-hungry tactics again! COD 4 Remaster hasn’t even been out for a year, but they’re dropping some of the DLC maps that came out in 07/08 disguised as new ‘DLC’. You would think that all of the maps would’ve come on the disc standard, but this is Activision we’re talking about.
The first DLC will be called the ‘Variety Map Pack’, which is the same name as the original. Broadcast, Chinatown, Creek, and Killhouse will be the added maps you will get to play.
But that’s not the kicker to this. Activision has the nerve to charge you $15 for the map pack AGAIN! This is $5 more than what they charged on the Xbox 360, and the excuse to charge this much is because they also add 10 “rare” supply drops.
I used to be COD crackhead back in the day, but I’m far over that phase. COD 4 is nostalgia for a lot of people, but I implore you to not participate in this foolishness and buy the DLC again for a 10-year game. It’s just not worth it for supply drops.
Apparently, the maps have already been out since March for PS4 users. Xbox One and PC players are next, but if you want to play the maps that bad, just stick to the original please!
