Wow! I feel like we’ve been hearing about this thing for years now with no actual release date, but it’s finally near. Oculus finally showcased their consumer edition of their VR headset which is said to be smaller, sleeker and easier to use for people with glasses. They’re claiming it will feel as light as a ball cap which sounds great in theory, but for me seeing is believing.

Today during their press conference they also revealed that they’ve joined forces with Microsoft, so now the headset will be compatible with PC as well as Xbox One. Every Oculus Rift comes with a Xbox One wireless controller to put the icing on the cake.

They also announced that they’ve invested 10 million dollars in indie studios to produce games for the rift. What are those games exactly? I’m not sure, but lets hope for the best.
