While the biggest news of the year for Nintendo fans came from the announcement of Super Smash Bros for the Nintendo Switch, people are still wondering whether this is a new game or a port from the Wii U version. We now received news that Nintendo will be holding a Super Smash Bros Switch Invitational at this year’s E3.

On June 11th and 12th, a select group of high-level Smash players will get to compete against each other. Unless more news about Smash Bros is announced before June, this will be the first time the public will feast their eyes on some gameplay.

Along with a Smash Bros Invitational, Splatoon 2 will also have their first world championship. You will be able to go through qualifiers starting April 21st at 2 pm eastern. Finals will go down on April 28th at 11 am eastern. Whoever makes it out of this bunch will participate in the World Championship at E3.
