Nintendo’s new home console is scorching hot. It’s selling like Frank Lucas’s Blue Magic back in the late 60’s early 70’s. Retailers can’t keep them on the shelves and I’m not completely sure why because it still doesn’t have a killer app.
Splatoon 2 is cool, ARMS is cool and Mario + Rabbids is cool, but still not a reason to rush out and spend $300. Then again it could just be the portability factor and Zelda. Who really knows?
What I do know is Nintendo determined to keep up with the demand of the switch this holiday season. Nintendo Of America’s residential Haitian released a statement to our plug that went a little like this
“Certainly the demand is there, and our supply chain is there. Are we going to have enough for the holiday? That’s what we are focused on.”
Sounds like they’re trying to keep up, but they’re also unsure. Your best bet is to pick up a Switch for that loved one who wants it now. Don’t wait until Christmas and then get mad when there is none.
