No this isn’t a Switch Lite or Switch XL, but the same Nintendo Switch with improved battery life. This was originally what I thought the Switch Lite would be, given that the Nintendo Switch had a rocky launch with plenty of glitches and various technical issues. Now shortly after Nintendo effectively killed the 3Ds with the Lite, the HAC-001 model of the original Switch is touted to have a battery that lasts two hours longer according to our source.
The new Switch is scheduled to release around August in the US, and September for Europe. The Switch Lite comes out on September 20th for $200. Prepare for even more confusion around the holiday season for non-informed consumers.
