If there’s one thing, Nintendo does well it’s rehash old products, so they seem new again. Last year Nintendo rolled out the 2DS, but most people weren’t feeling it. It was a 3DS minus the 3D which is cool because most people hate the 3D functionality anyway. The problem with the original 2DS was the things design. The 2DS looks like a fat slice of your grandma’s pound cake.

Nintendo heard your feedback and did something about it. This year’s 2DS doesn’t have 3D live the previous, but it does have the traditional clam shell design and the enhanced hardware introduced last year. It comes in a sleek black and ice blue color scheme. I’ve also seen screenshots of an orange and white one. And that’s about it. The 2DS XL is going for $150 and will be out July 28th.
