Niantic is working desperately to keep their fans engaged with their mobile game Pokemon Go. They held a Fan Fest in Chicago and it did not go well. In fact, it went so bad that an attendee filed a class-action lawsuit against the company. This was due to multiple attendees being unable to get data service and having to wait in long lines. Amongst that, the actual Pokemon Go servers were also on the fritz.
Due to the Chicago event being a disaster, Niantic is going to push back the dates of their events in Europe (specifically the Safari Zone celebrations in Copenhagen and Prague). “We apologize for any inconvenience and hope you understand that our priority is to ensure a great experience for Pokemon Go trainers in Europe and around the world,”
During the Chicago event, Niantic introduced Lugia and Articuno as the legendary Pokemon you could now catch. Hopefully you can actually catch them if you still play the game and hopefully, Niantic can recover from the messy event held in the states.
