New news has broken out courtesy of Digital Foundry about the Microsoft Project Scorpio architecture. They revealed that they received an anonymous white letter that contained information that the RAM the Scorpio uses will NOT be ESRAM. This is the same type of ram typically used in the Xbox One and Xbox One S respectively.
Microsoft does not want any developers to only create games for the Scorpio, they still require games to optimize games for ESRAM for all upcoming games.
