Monster Hunter World Gets PC Release Date, Console Parity & PC Requirements – Gaming illuminaughty Skip to content
Published July 10, 2018

Monster Hunter World is one of the biggest releases of early 2018. Seems like everyone and their mother was playing the console version when it dropped. People who wanted to play the PC version had to wait. I’ve had to endure being asked daily in my stream if I’d play this “masterpiece”. Still, haven’t played, but the PC version finally got a release date. Mark your calendars for August 9th which is the day after my birthday (cough cough).

But on the flip side, some PC gamers might be upset they had seven months just to receive a version that looks like the console version. What were those seven extra months used for? Nobody knows, but according to our snitch we do know the producer of the game is on record saying “When the game launches the visuals will have parity with the console versions, but we’re considering releasing a free update after launch.” Now, what do these patches contain? Who knows?! As a bonus, I’ve included PC requirements for MHW below.
