Minecraft Will No Longer Be Supported On Windows – Gaming illuminaughty Skip to content
Published January 20, 2017

When Windows bought out Minecraft, they have been putting the game on every single device they can think of. Now in 2017 Microsoft feels that the version on their own mobile device, Windows 8.1 isn’t worth the effort to continue to support. The Android and IOS versions will still continue to receive updates, but the Windows version got left out due to some issues with the beta.

If you have Windows 10, you will still receive regular updates even though this version is reportedly based on the same code as the ‘pocket edition’. Maybe if more people actually had a Windows phone, it would continue to get the support.
