Mewtwo Glitch Stops Online Play in Smash Bros Wii U – Gaming illuminaughty Skip to content

There’s a nasty glitch in the Nintendo Wii U version of Super Smash Bros. that is preventing online play and may cause an irregular save data error in your video game. People have reported this game error to Nintendo; but, sadly, no fix is out as of this report. The Nintendo 3DS versions seems to be unaffected right now. The glitch seems to be caused by the 10-man Smash mode. If you beat the mode with all the characters, and then beat it with Mewtwo, you may encounter this glitch.

Next time you boot up the game, or try to play online, you may receive an error which reads, “You have been disconnected because of irregular save data.” Sadly, there is no fix for this, as of yet. Nintendo has been called out by a few gamers, and hopefully they are actively working on fixing this.
