Riding high off of the success of Avengers: Age of Ultron, Marvel has announced that Martin Freeman will be joining the cast of Captain America: Civil War, in theaters May 6, 2016. Marvel mastermind Kevin Feige had this to say about the casting: “From his roles as Bilbo Baggins and Doctor Watson to Tim in ‘The Office,’ Martin’s range from the dramatic to the comedic has consistently impressed us. We couldn’t be more honored or excited to have such a talented actor join the Marvel Cinematic Universe.”

It is unknown as of now who Freeman will be playing in the upcoming film. Freeman is a very accomplished actor and will be joining former co-stars Benedict Cumberbatch (Doctor Strange) and Andy Serkis (Ulysses Klaw) in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It’s six degrees of Martin Freeman! (kinda not really)

Also, amateur blogger Umberto Gonzalez posted the following images to his Instagram account, showing of (what we believe to be) concept art for the film, giving us a great look at Iron Man’s new armor Mark 51673 for Civil War.

iron mancivil warYup, folks, journalism these days is reposting photos from someone’s Instagram account and running with it. Because so many major media outlets claimed these to be concept art, I’m (hopefully) safely assuming that these are legitimate concept art from the film.

What do you all think of the images? Excited to see Freeman join the MCU? Make sure to comment!
