Earlier today we reported that Henry Cavill is out as Superman in the current DCU. That leaves a vacant spot open for arguably the most important character in DC Comics. Questions are arising on who will play the next Superman? One name has caught a lot of peoples attention and it’s Michael B. Jordan.
According to our informant, Warner Bros. is looking to take Superman in a new direction and by new direction, they mean a black actor. I’m willing to guess it has something to do with all the success he’s had over the years. Things like Fruitvale Station, Creed, and Black Panther has risen his stock.
It’ll just be interesting too see how this plays out because it were true would Marvel be upset? Would they allow Michael to fraternize with the competition? Also are they going to improve the scripts of these DCU films? I’m also curious to know what they mean when they said they’re taking things in a new direction. Is this just a PR stunt? Only time will tell.
