Looks like it as the company LCG Entertainment bought the studio name and some of the licensed properties that Telltale had according to our source. Even though a good number of staff members have been let go due to the initial closing, the new management will keep the staffing small over the next six months.
Telltale has rights to The Wolf Among Us and Batman among other IPs (Walking Dead which has been concluded by Skybound). Netflix took over Stranger Things, but the other series like Borderlands and Guardians Of The Galaxy are in limbo at this moment.
We will see if the new team will pick up where the original team at Telltale left off. Maybe we can finally get a Wolf Among Us 2 like we’ve all been waiting for.
