If you have an Xbox 360 or an Xbox One, chances are you are aware of the Xbox preview program which allows you to beta test new Xbox Live features. Microsoft also has a Windows Insider program for Windows 10 PC users that does the same thing. One of the reported features to be coming will be a dll that will make your Windows 10 games perform better.
The feature will be called ‘gamemode’ and it functions by reallocating CPU resources to give your game application a higher priority. This, in turn, will give your games higher performance. The only question we don’t know is if this will only be compatible with games you buy our of the Windows 10 store, or if this will work with any game on your computer. In theory this should work with any game, but this is Microsoft we’re talking about here.
