If you just upgraded to a Core i7 CPU, then have some bad news for you. Your CPU is about to become old news in the near future.
Our informant revealed that Intel plans on dropping their Core i9 series of CPU in the near future. They’ll be launching 5 variations and each will have twice as many threads as it has cores.
The starting price for one of these i9’s is $999 and that price goes all the way up to $2000. I think it’s safe to say neither you or I will be purchasing one of these things anytime soon. Take a look at the core/thread specs chart below.
As far for clocks speeds; details are scarce. Right now we only know that the base model 7900x will run at 3.3GHz, but you’ll be capable of boost clocking it to 4.3GHz and 4.5GHz. If you’re curious about the L3 cache, then know there will be 13.75MB. Once again. my black ass can’t afford any of this anytime soon, but if you can then check out some more images from the Intel presentation.
